Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2010 Collection: A Few of My Favorite Picks

February 23, 2010

All I  can say is, WOW!  After getting to view the many videos there are online with respect to Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2010 collection from Fashion Week in Paris, I was left breathless.   The styles and designs were absolutely delicious and very well presented with a level of flare, elegance, and sheer beauty.  I love his vision came through  and the way it flowed evenly.

This collection can be the highlight of evening wear when travelling out on the town.  The gray and black collection offered its own shimmer without being or having the sense of being too dark and gloomy, yet it was exquisite and far beyond being tasteful.

Cute and flirty, and with attitude, is how I describe these little numbers.  Colors were right on and they blend beautifully.   The high heel wedges add style and pizzazz.   And we all know wedges are definitely in this spring/summer season.  With their array of styles and colors that can be matched up with any ensemble.  I’d like to get my hands on a couple of pairs of those wedges the ladies are wearing.  They’d make a nice addition to my collection of shoes.

Out of all the collections, this piece was my absolute favorite.  I found this picture at Elle.com who wasted no time capturing the allure, glamour and appeal.  You can see the detail in how it outlines the curves of the model’s waistline, and the way it flows.

This piece is best in black because it’s classic, sheik and is always an evening’s finest in fashion.  I located this image at Google Images, but forgot to include the link.  This will be added very shortly.

There is it.  These are my favorite pieces from the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2010 collection.  I am above and beyond pleased with what he’s done in bring classic colors to high fashion and stepping it up with vibrant colors, beautiful fabrics, and hip, upscale designs.  I especially love how the looks of the models seems to capture the 1920’s look set in a modern day time period.  Just esquisite.  I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s, but am well versed on how actresses from the 1920’s – 1960’s wore their hair and their fashion style.

All in all, I am very pleased!  I could consider this ready to wear and wouldn’t be surprised if it went flying off the racks before spring/summer arrived.

Telegraph.com got a shot of Rihanna attending the Paris Womenswear Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010, and she was looking as lovely as ever (image source from the HWT Image Library).

Very well done!
