Shape Your Body

March 10, 2010

If you’re someone like me who has those dreadful rolls at the waist and belly buldge, and adores wearing those hot looking clothes, chances are you also keep close at hand those amazing body shapers that are very well known for shaping your body, giving you those flattering curves, flattening your stomach, and smoothing out the lines in everything you wear.

My thing back in the day had always been corsettes with the attached garters.  It was always easy to mix and match the thigh high nylons while concealing everything else going on, but back then [before my daughter was born] I really didn’t need them just loved wearing them.  Now that I’m in my 40’s, my daughter is 15, my metabolism isn’t what it used to be, although I’ve got my weight issues under control, there still remains the belly buldge and the rolls where my waist line use to be, but thank heavens for the body shapers.  I like the one piece because they shape and mold all the right areas.

Over the years body shapers or body suits (as most of you know them as) have transformed from the traditional look and style to provide a more alluring, seductive and sexy appealing look.  And you can find them with the seamless look, which are my favorite.

You can find them strapless (as shown), with detachable straps, in varying colors, mostly nude, white and black, and they are not just in one piece and there are several different styles to choose from to suit your needs.

The two piece top and short leggings  is ideal for defining your thighs while at the same time trimming your waist line.  The top lifts and shapes your breast area while giving you a comfortable and firm fit.

The body shaper spanx also offers up the same desired look.  Wearing fashion doesn’t have to be a major chore when you’re wanting to look your best.

You can find these also to wear with dresses and shirts.  Flattening your tummy was never easier, and body shapers of all kinds takes inches off your waist line.

Let’s talk quality.  I recommend going with a brand that you can get your money’s worth.  Cheap ones are just that, cheaply made.  If you spend less than $10 for one, you’re bound to find yourself shopping for another one.  Best places to get body shapers Target, Victoria’s Secret, Fredericks of Hollywood, stores that specializes in under garments, Macy, Sears, Bloomingdale, and if you’re lucky to have good ones near you — a good swapmeet.  The truth is, you really dont’ have to spend a fortune on body shapers, but if you want quality, sometimes it’s a good investment.
