This Week in Fashion: Who Wore it Best?
Ok, so I’ve been paying some attention to this whole “fashion faceoff” with Jessica Simpson and Reese Witherspoon over this infamous pink dress. The dress, said to be by L’Wren Scott is seeming to be getting quite the buzz. With a hefty price tag of $2,305. The question that’s being asked is who wore it better. At that price, the question should be who’d pay that for a dress as simple looking as this?
In all fairness, when you look at Jessica Simpson who wore it as a guest on David Letterman’s show this year and Oscar Winner, Reese Witherspoon, who also wore the dress at the launching of her Avon Fragrance in New York just last year — both styling the same black pumps, if you look at the two women, my vote would have to go for Reese.
She wears her hair loose letting it outline the shape of her face. It’s the perfect length just about a little under an inch just over her knee. As simple a design of the dress she wears it with elegance.
Where as Jessica Simpson rocked the dress with a black belt and a longer length, giving it a more old-fashioned look. Although she is beautiful, too, the dress could be an inch or two above her knee and without the belt.
It’s fair to say, though, that not everyone has the same taste. So you decide. Don’t get me wrong I like the dress, not the price tag. Nevertheless, it’s a undaunting task that everyone who read the article on OMG.Yahoo.com is plagued with to determine who wore the dress best, you take the challenge and decide for yourself.
Jessica Simpson also wore a dress that Paris Hilton wore. Both wore the big sunglasses which I can’t for the life of me understand the uniqueness of that style — the oversized sunglasses. I tried but looked like an alien from out of space, but getting back on topic, if you asked me who wore that dress best, I’d have to give it up for Jessica Simpson. For Paris, the black nylons just took away from the dramatic effect of the dress. Although she wore nicer sunglasses, Jessica wore the dress the best.
If this uselessness of “who wore it best” in fashion is considered to be “breaking news” then it wouldn’t surprise me if someone dedicated a television reality show hosted by someone who has way too much time on their hands to go searching the globe for celebs who were caught on camera wearing the same exact style but for different events.
