Mixing and Matching: The Second 2011 Fall/Winter Look
The best thing about getting fall/winter weather gear together is the fun I get to have with mixing and matching. It’s been instilled in me since I was a young girl that you are always suppose to be properly color coordinated and a lady is never ratty dressed (you never know who you’re going to meet when you’re out somewhere). So, as I have delved into my 40’s wearing the right fashion has become a major importance. I don’t want to dress like I’m older than my age and I don’t want to dress like I’m too young, but too older to be wearing it. So, I look at what most 40+ women are wearing and it’s helped me to make some sound choices.
If you recall I featured the chunky sweater featured at Avon. This is an exceptional sweater for the cool weather. The plan is to wear this beautiful sweater with a nice pair of jeans because weekends are the perfect time for jeans; and I’ll sum it up with one of my scoop neck tops or long sleeved sweaters.
To complete the look I decided to take on the style of their cushioned faux fur boots that can be worn rolled up or cuffed down, also from Avon. I’ll have to be one to say that they have really stepped up their game, especially with the Holiday Season not too far away.
What I like about these boots is that they are fashionable and, for me, different only because anyone who knows me know that I’m all about f lair, erotic, sexy, and all about the stiletto heal. So getting these boots really puts me on a different spin.
These are cute because (as I previously mentioned), you can wear them rolled up or cuffed down. And they go really well with the sweater, the jeans, and whatever fashionable top you can find to really pull the look off.
They are faux-sued with the really nice fur trim, they have a 3 5/8 heal and a skid-resistant sole. And if you look closely they have a braided detail with stud accents.
This is my second 2011 Fall/Winter Look. I hope you like the looks and styles I’ve presented on this blog. You’re welcome to duplicate any of the looks you see here on my blog. Feel free to spice it up, tone it down, or just make it your own. Either way, I’d love to see your 2011 Fall/Winter Look.
Keep checking back as I’ll be bringing you at the office fall/winter wear along with the do’s and don’ts of fall/winter fashion. Stay on your guard because I may just take a snap shot of you and feature you on my blog, whether the best or worse dressed, it could very well be you.
