Sexy Shoes: And the Saga Continues

January 19, 2012

Hi, all you fashionistas out there in fashion land!  I hope the new year has gotten off to a fabulous start for you.  I hope I didn’t keep any of you waiting with updating my Shoe Gallery 2012.  You know I had to go out scoping to see what’s fresh, new and exciting.

So, recapping on 2011, it was the year of events for me, attending more than I had attended a year prior; the All White Affair during the summer and the All Black Affair Labor Day weekend in September; the Christmas All Black Winter Party and the New Years Eve party in December.  I was in full form, looking my very best.  And that was the year I bought more shoes than I had ever expected.  But it was well worth the investment.

In keeping with the spirits of being fashion conscience and looking at events I anticipate attending in 2012, I took January to be the month I go surfing for the hottest looks in new styles and fashion trends; shoes, boots and spring/summer fashion wear.

To kick things off in gear I spent the past couple of weeks browsing the internet, popping in and out of boutiques and, low and behold, if I didn’t find the hottest pair of gold high heel sandals online at one of my favorite shoe sites,

If some of you recall, I went on a gold craze last year building a gold shoe collection starting with the gold glitter T-strap high heel sandals following the gold elastic band strap high heel sandals.

I wanted to add another pair of gold high heel sandals to my growing gold collection that cater to evening and special occasion events, and that would get me to step away from the T-strap design I’d been so attached to (I have a lot of T-strap designs).

To kick off the new year in style, and to get my Shoe Gallery 2012 going, I chose these gold stacked high heel sandals with rhinestone finishing.  See the embellished rhinestone on the heels and on the platform.

They feature a metallic upper, twist strap accent, ankle strap buckle closure, open toes, pipping trim, stack rhinestone platform and to set off the overall design they are finished with mirror rhinestone encrusted heels.  The insole comes with a faux leather lining with a lightly cushion foot-bed.  The out-sole features a rubber traction, topped with an attractive heel set at approximately 5 3/4 inch with a 2 inch platform.  These are also in silver which I’ll probably be getting later on down the line.

This is just one step in the direction of revamping my special event/evening wardrobe.  With age comes a closer approach to staying sexy and elegant without going too over the top; adding these shoes to my collection.

If you have noticed that a lot more platform shoes are taking to the redesigning of their original look to the stacked look which poses a more elegant, dynamic and exciting look.  The design is chic, alluring, and fashionably appealing adding pizzazz to the evening wear.  But I have to admit that not all designs with this new look in platforms is appealing.

This certainly gives platform high heels a whole new twist as shoe designers work around the clock to cleverly come up with various designs featuring new styles and trends that are different and unique in their own genre.

These shoes would be a perfect addition to the new evening look I am working on creating, which features a look at more cocktail dresses to spark up the evening.  Everybody knows that having the perfect pair of shoes only does the right job in completing the entire look.
