Caught in a Yellow Phase
Dress from Milanoo, 2010
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed it, but there seems to be a huge trend of the color yellow. It’s popped up all over the place and it’s quickly making its way through the streets of Los Angeles. I’ve even been drawn into it having purchased a yellow halter dress. The color is as bright as the sunshine and sort of puts a smile on your face.
And it is is vastly appropriate as we tread into the summer months with the warmer days ahead if we can stay away from the dramatic weather changes that then to stop us cold from enjoy the beautiful California weather we are so famously known for.

With so many styles to choose from, no one yellow is the same, and there is something for everyone. Whether you’re going for an amazing elegant look, or you’re going to a garden party, or you want to something for a night out on the town, or you want something glamorous for just stepping out, or you’re just looking for something for a weekend getaway/weekend fun, there is something that fitst that particular purpose and reason.

Yellow dress are fun and brighten up any room. I don’t copy too many trends, but this is one I must say I don’t mind copying and following because as my daughter will say, I need some color in my life. It sets my wardrobe a part from just being associated with the neutral colors, to actually coming out of the box into something that is more fabulous, different, and just plain exciting. When you add a bright splash of color to your warbrobe it makes a huge different and people will notice you in ways you hadn’t been noticed before. It’s almost like creating a new you that your friends will either happily embrace or wonder what the hell’s wrong with you :). But change is good especially in fashion.
Congrats on your nomination! 🙂
